Can Instagram detect bought followers?

Yes, Instagram says it detects and removes them, but nobody outside Meta knows how much it catches. Instagram built machine-learning tools to “identify accounts that use these services and remove the inauthentic activity” (announced November 2018). Meta publishes no detection rate, so a seller that promises its followers will never be found is promising something it cannot know, and slow delivery does not change what the accounts are.
