Growth Navigate Startup Tools: A Startup Stack Priced Job by Job (October 2026)

Growth navigate startup tools are the software that helps a startup navigate growth: one tool per job, the smallest that does it. This guide prices that stack from vendor pages read on October 14, 2026 (one seat costs $45 a month, three seats $149 at list prices), quotes each free plan's ceiling, and explains what Growth Navigate, the company, is. HowSociable has no connection to it.

Growth navigate startup tools are the software a new company uses to find customers, talk to its team, keep its books and measure what works: the tools that help a startup navigate growth. A startup needs one tool per job, and the smallest tool that does the job. The stack this guide prices is HubSpot's free CRM, Google Analytics, Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, Trello, Zapier, Mercury, QuickBooks Online, Stripe, Canva, Meta Business Suite or Buffer, and Kit. Every price below was read on the vendor's own pricing page on October 14, 2026, with the billing basis the page states.

Most vendors show the annual-billing price by default, so the card figure is rarely the month-to-month price, and free plans end at ceilings a three-person team reaches quickly. HowSociable has not tested any of these tools: there are no scores here, and this guide contains no affiliate links.

What growth navigate startup tools are, and what Growth Navigate is

"Growth navigate startup tools" has settled into a generic phrase for software that helps a startup navigate growth. The phrase also matches a company name. Growth Navigate (growthnavigate.com) describes itself on its home page as "Your Partner in Financial Business Growth" and says "We help businesses get funded, grow faster, and make more money—without wasting time on guesswork."

Its startup-tools page, read October 14, 2026, calls itself in its meta description "a curated collection of essential tools to help startups grow, automate workflows, and scale efficiently"; on the page it is twelve vendor cards with no prices or dates. HowSociable has no connection to Growth Navigate. This guide is HowSociable's own, and nothing in it is endorsed by Growth Navigate or by any vendor it names.

The stack at a glance: free ceilings and cheapest paid plans

This table lists every tool in the guide with its free plan's ceiling and its cheapest paid plan, as read on each vendor's pricing page on October 14, 2026. HowSociable assigns no scores; the one tool whose prices could not be read that day (Make) is marked "Price not read".

CRM and sales: HubSpot free, then Pipedrive or Salesforce Starter

A CRM (customer relationship management system) is the database of your contacts, deals and conversations. Start with HubSpot's free tools: on October 14, 2026 they allowed "1,000 contacts" and "up to 2 users". Past that, Starter shows "$7/mo/seat" on annual billing as a promotion ("New customers only") against a list price of "$20/mo/seat". Pipedrive has only a "Free 14-day trial"; Lite is "US$14" "Per seat per month, billed annually". Salesforce Starter Suite is "$25 USD per user per month, billed monthly or annually". The trade-off: HubSpot's free tier is the widest, but its paid price is a promotion whose end date the page does not print.

Analytics: Google Analytics is free, Mixpanel to 1 million events

Google Analytics costs nothing: Google's page says it "gives you the tools, free of charge, to understand the customer journey and improve marketing ROI" (read October 14, 2026) and states no usage limit. For product analytics, Mixpanel's free plan "Includes unlimited seats, up to 1M events/month, 10K session replays/month"; the first priced tier, 1.5M events a month, is "$100/month, $1,200/year" on yearly billing or "$140/month" billed monthly. For recordings and heatmaps, Microsoft Clarity is "Free forever" with "No limits on traffic". The trade-off: Google Analytics reports traffic and pages; per-user funnels and retention are where teams add Mixpanel, whose price scales with events, not seats.

Communication: Slack's free plan, Google Workspace for email

Slack's free plan is "$0 USD" and keeps "90 days of message history" with "Up to 10 apps"; its help center adds that "Messages and files more than one year old will be permanently deleted". Pro is "$8.75" "per user / month, when paying monthly" or "$7.25 USD per user / month, when paying annually". Google Workspace has no free plan: Business Starter is "$7" "/ user per month" in US pricing, under the "Annual (Save 16% with 1 year commitment)" label (read October 14, 2026). The trade-off: Slack's ceiling is memory, and Workspace is the one subscription a solo founder cannot avoid.

Docs and knowledge: Notion free for one person, Plus at $10 a member

Notion's free plan is "$0" "per member / month"; pages and blocks are "Unlimited for individuals" and "limited for 2+ members". Plus is "$10" "per member / month", the page's yearly price; the monthly figure is not in the page's HTML, so none is stated. One sentence decides the bill: "Guests are free of charge – but they can only access individual pages they are invited to". Miro is free with "up to 3 editable boards"; Starter is "$ 8 /month per member, billed yearly". The trade-off: Notion's free plan is generous for one person and vague for a team.

Project management: Trello free to 10 people, Asana free to 2

Trello's free plan is "Free for up to 10 collaborators per Workspace" with "Up to 10 boards per Workspace"; Standard is "$5 USD" "Per user/month if billed annually ($6 billed monthly)" and lifts the board cap. Asana's Personal plan lets "2 users collaborate for free"; Starter is "$10.99" "Per user, per month billed annually. $13.49 billed monthly" (read October 14, 2026). The ceilings: the eleventh collaborator on Trello, the third user on Asana. The trade-off is price at ten seats, computed from the prices above: Trello Standard 10 x $5 = $50 a month on annual billing against Asana Starter 10 x $10.99 = $109.90; Asana's "Timeline and Gantt views" are what you pay for.

Automation: Zapier's 100 free tasks, Make's price not read

Zapier's free plan is "$0 /month" with "100 tasks per month" (read October 14, 2026). Professional is "Starting from $19.99 /month" under the "Pay yearly (Save 33%)" label; the page does not tie that price to a task count. Make's prices render only in a browser and could not be read on October 14, 2026; its free plan is "1,000 credits/month" with a "15-minute minimum interval between runs" and 2 active scenarios. The trade-off: Zapier's ceiling is a task count, Make's is two active scenarios.

Finance and banking: Mercury at $0, QuickBooks from $38 a month

Runway is how many months your cash lasts at the current spending rate. Mercury's banking is "$0 per month"; its page states "Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank." For the books, QuickBooks Online has a free plan (1 user, "Send 2 invoices per month") and Simple Start at "$38" billed monthly (read October 14, 2026).

Puzzle has no permanent free plan ("Starter is free for 2 months"); on monthly billing (the page's "Monthly" toggle), Starter is "$30 /mo" for "Seats 1", and Core, "$72 /mo" for "Seats 5", is the first plan with "Insights: Cash, Burn, Runway, Margin & more"; the "Yearly · Save 20%" toggle is footnoted "Monthly equivalent shown. Billed annually." The trade-off: QuickBooks prices per company; Puzzle's Starter is one seat, and runway appears only on Core.

Payments: Stripe at 2.9% + 30¢, invoicing free through Mercury

Stripe's Standard pricing is "2.9% + 30¢ per successful transaction for domestic cards" with "No setup fees, monthly fees, or hidden fees" (read October 14, 2026). Surcharges are "+ 1.5% for international cards" and "+ 1% if currency conversion is required"; ACH Direct Debit is "0.8%" with a "$5.00 cap". For bank transfers, Mercury's invoicing avoids the card fee: "It’s free for customers to pay you by ACH transfer, wire, or check through Mercury." The trade-off is arithmetic, computed from the rates above: on a $20 subscription Stripe's domestic card fee is $0.88, or 4.4% of revenue; on a $200 invoice paid by ACH through Stripe it is $1.60.

Design: Canva free, Figma free to start

Canva's free plan includes "5GB of cloud storage" and "1 Brand Kit (3 colours only)". Pro is "US$180 /year for one person" on yearly billing and adds "5 Brand Kits" and "100GB of cloud storage". Figma's Starter plan is "Free limited access to Figma products"; Professional is "Full seat $16 /mo" on annual billing. The trade-off: per person per year at Canva, per editor per month at Figma, with viewers free.

AI assistants: one tool, not a stack; ChatGPT Plus is $20 a month

ChatGPT Plus costs $20 a month per user, read on ChatGPT's pricing page in a browser on October 14, 2026: the page lists Free at $0, Go at $5, Plus at $20 and Pro from $100, each "/ month", and its FAQ says "Paid plans (Go, Plus, Business, and Enterprise) are priced per user per month" and "Business plans are available starting at 2 users".

Jasper, the AI writing tool on Growth Navigate's own list, offers "a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan" and no free plan; Pro is "$59/month billed yearly or $69/month billed monthly (cancel anytime)" for one seat. The trade-off: $59 a seat for Jasper against $20 for ChatGPT Plus, or the free version for occasional use.

Social media scheduling and measurement: Meta's own tool is free

Meta Business Suite "is free to use on desktop and in the Meta Business Suite mobile app" (help center, read October 14, 2026). Buffer's free plan allows "up to 3 channels" with "10 scheduled posts per channel"; Essentials is "from $6/month per channel" billed monthly or "$5" a month billed yearly. Metricool's free plan covers "1 brand" and "up to 20 posts per month"; Starter is "From $20/month" on annual billing. The billing unit is the trade-off: Buffer charges per connected social account, Metricool per brand.

Email marketing: Kit free to 10,000 subscribers, Mailchimp to 250 contacts

Kit's free plan is "Free—up to 10,000 subscribers" with "Unlimited email broadcasts"; what it lacks is automation, which starts on Creator ("Unlimited Visual Automations", "Unlimited email sequences") at "$33" "/mo", "$390 billed yearly", at the slider's default of 1,000 subscribers. Mailchimp's free plan has a "Limit of 250 contacts"; Essentials is "$ 13 00 /mo for 12 months" as a "Save 50%" promotion, and the regular price that follows is blank in the page's HTML (both read October 14, 2026). The trade-off: Kit's free plan sends broadcasts but will not run a welcome sequence; Mailchimp's runs out of contacts first.

Which plan at which stage, and what the starter stack costs

Computed from the prices above, one seat costs $45 a month and three seats $149 at list prices; the table maps the stack to three team sizes and assumes everyone needs email, chat, docs and the CRM, one person keeps the books, and Stripe stays per transaction.

One seat: Google Workspace $7 + QuickBooks Simple Start $38 = $45, every other job on a free plan. Three seats at list prices: Workspace 3 x $7 = $21, HubSpot Starter 3 x $20 = $60 (3 x $7 = $21 on the promotion), Notion Plus 3 x $10 = $30, QuickBooks $38; $21 + $60 + $30 + $38 = $149, or $110 with the HubSpot promotion. Workspace and Notion figures are annual-commitment prices; QuickBooks is month to month.

How to choose a tool: six checks, no weightings

Choose a tool by six checks and no weightings: read the free-tier ceiling in the vendor's words, price it at 3 and 10 seats, note which billing period the page shows, read the cancellation sentence, count integrations only as the vendor counts them, and retire one tool for every one you add.

  1. Find the free-tier ceiling in the vendor's words. It is a number (HubSpot's 1,000 contacts, Slack's 90 days, Trello's 10 collaborators) and it tells you when the tool starts costing money.
  2. Price it at 3 seats and at 10. Per-seat tools multiply: Slack Pro at 10 seats is 10 x $7.25 = $72.50 a month on annual billing; Notion Plus 10 x $10 = $100. Per-workspace tools (Zapier, Mixpanel, Metricool, QuickBooks) do not.
  3. Check which billing period the page shows. Slack, Trello and Asana print both figures; Notion, Miro, Zapier and Kit print only the yearly one; Pipedrive and Canva show the annual price first and say so on the page ("billed annually", "/year"). Assume the card figure is the annual price until the page says otherwise.
  4. Read the cancellation sentence before the feature list. Gusto "is month-to-month. Cancel anytime."; at Miro, "Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of your current term." Export your data in week one, so you know the format before it matters.
  5. Count integrations only as the vendor counts them. Zapier says "9,000+ apps", Make "3,500+ standard apps", Slack "over 2,600 apps", Pipedrive "500+ integrations", Mailchimp "300+ Integrations": the vendors' numbers on October 14, 2026, not a measure of fit.
  6. One in, one out. Adding a tool means naming the one it retires; if nothing retires, the job was already covered.

Is it true that 90% of startups fail? What BLS and the SBA publish

No figure in the primary data shows 90%. The Bureau of Labor Statistics survival table for private-sector establishments (Table 7; index page last modified December 17, 2025; read October 14, 2026) shows that of establishments opened in the year ended March 2015, 79.6% were still open after one year, 50.2% after five and 34.7% after ten. The newest cohort, opened in the year ended March 2024, stood at 77.9% one year later. BLS counts establishments, not companies, and all new businesses, not only venture-backed startups.

The SBA Office of Advocacy's February 2026 FAQ gives long-run averages: "From 1994-2022, an average of 67.7 percent of new employer establishments survived at least two years. During the same period, the five-year survival rate was 49.2 percent, the ten-year survival rate was 33.9 percent, and the fifteen-year survival rate was 25.5 percent." The Census Bureau's Business Formation Statistics release of October 14, 2026 says "Business Applications for September 2026, adjusted for seasonal variation, were 534,947".

What this means if you are growing an account

The stack above runs the company; a startup selling through Instagram, TikTok or YouTube also needs an audience layer, mostly free. Scheduling can stay inside the platforms: see how to schedule Instagram posts and how to schedule TikTok posts. Measure with the engagement rate calculator, and before paying any creator run the profile through the Instagram fake follower checker.

Unit economics decide whether the stack is affordable. CAC, customer acquisition cost, is "(Marketing Spend + Sales Spend) ÷ New Customers Acquired", which the CAC calculator computes; the churn rate calculator and the break-even calculator show how many customers the $45 or $149 above needs. Setup is free too: the business name generator, the email signature generator and the rest of the free calculators hub.

On paid growth services: buying followers or engagement breaks most platforms' rules. Meta's Community Standards, which cover Instagram, list under Spam "Attempting to or successfully selling, buying, or exchanging for engagement, such as likes, shares, views, follows, clicks, use of specific hashtags, etc." (read October 14, 2026). HowSociable's only first-hand test of any growth service is a five-order retention pilot ($81.46, counts tracked for 30 days; method). Bought followers are not a growth tool for a startup; see how to tell real followers from fake ones.

The short version

  • "Growth navigate startup tools" means software that helps a startup navigate growth; Growth Navigate is also a financial consultancy, unconnected to HowSociable.
  • One tool per job: a one-seat starter stack costs $45 a month (Google Workspace $7 + QuickBooks Simple Start $38), three seats $149 at list prices, from vendor pages read October 14, 2026.
  • Free ceilings that end first: HubSpot 1,000 contacts, Slack 90 days, Trello 10 collaborators, Zapier 100 tasks, Buffer 3 channels, Mailchimp 250 contacts.
  • Most pricing cards open on the annual figure: Slack Pro is $8.75 per user monthly against $7.25 annually, and Notion, Miro, Zapier and Kit print only the yearly price.
  • No primary source shows 90% of startups failing: BLS puts one-year survival at 79.6% and ten-year at 34.7% (2015 cohort); the SBA's 1994-2022 average is 49.2% at five years.
  • HowSociable has not tested these tools; this guide carries no scores and no affiliate links.

Next, price your own acquisition in the CAC calculator, set up posting with the Instagram scheduling guide, or compare schedulers in the social media management tools comparison.

Sourcing: every price, limit and quote was read on October 14, 2026 from the vendor page linked beside it (Canva's en_gb pricing URL in US dollars). Survival figures: BLS Business Employment Dynamics Table 7 and the SBA Office of Advocacy's February 2026 FAQ; formation count: Census Bureau release of October 14, 2026; platform rule: Meta's Spam Community Standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Software that helps a startup navigate growth: a CRM, analytics, team chat, docs, task tracking, automation, banking and accounting, payments, design, an AI assistant, social scheduling and email marketing, one tool per job. The phrase also matches Growth Navigate, a financial consultancy at growthnavigate.com that calls itself "Your Partner in Financial Business Growth" and keeps a twelve-logo startup-tools page. HowSociable has no connection to it; this guide prices the stack from vendor pricing pages read on October 14, 2026.

One tool per job, starting on free plans: HubSpot's free CRM (1,000 contacts, 2 users), Google Analytics (free of charge), Slack (90 days of history free), Google Workspace for email ($7 per user per month on a one-year commitment), Notion, Trello (10 collaborators free), Zapier (100 tasks a month free), Mercury ($0 banking), QuickBooks Online (Simple Start $38 a month), Stripe (2.9% + 30¢ per domestic card transaction), Canva, Meta Business Suite or Buffer, and Kit (free to 10,000 subscribers). All limits and prices were read on October 14, 2026.

Computed from vendor prices read October 14, 2026, a one-seat starter stack costs $45 a month (Google Workspace $7 plus QuickBooks Simple Start $38, everything else free) and a three-seat stack $149 at list prices, or $110 with HubSpot's $7 Starter promotion. No benchmark from a primary source was found for what startups spend on software, so this guide gives none.

No primary source shows that. The Bureau of Labor Statistics survival table (read October 14, 2026) shows that of private-sector establishments opened in the year ended March 2015, 79.6% were open after one year, 50.2% after five and 34.7% after ten. The SBA Office of Advocacy's February 2026 FAQ gives 1994-2022 averages of 67.7% surviving two years, 49.2% five years, 33.9% ten and 25.5% fifteen. Those figures count all new establishments, not only venture-backed startups.

Start with one free specialized tool per job and let the ceilings decide. Suites price every seat from day one: HubSpot Starter bundles sales, marketing, service, content and data tools at $7 per seat per month on a promotion ($20 list), and Salesforce Starter Suite is $25 per user per month. A specialized tool costs nothing until its ceiling, such as Slack's 90 days of history or Trello's 10 collaborators, so on the prices read October 14, 2026 the free, specialized route is cheaper for a team under six.

When you hit the ceiling the vendor prints: HubSpot at 1,000 contacts or a third user, Slack the day you need a message older than 90 days, Trello at an eleventh collaborator, Zapier at 101 tasks in a month, Buffer at a fourth channel, Mailchimp at a 251st contact, Kit when you need a welcome sequence. Before upgrading, check the billing toggle: most cards open on the annual figure, Notion, Miro, Zapier and Kit print only the yearly price, and Slack Pro is $8.75 per user monthly against $7.25 annually.

Usually, but the pricing pages read on October 14, 2026 say little about it, so test the export before you have data worth losing. Pipedrive advertises importing from a spreadsheet or CRM, Kit offers free migrations, Gusto is month-to-month and Miro's downgrades take effect at the end of the current term. Export a copy in the first week, confirm the format opens in a spreadsheet, and treat a tool that cannot export as one you are renting, not using.

The free plans with the highest ceilings on October 14, 2026: Google Analytics (free of charge) and Microsoft Clarity ("No limits on traffic"), Meta Business Suite (free), Mercury ($0 banking), Kit (free to 10,000 subscribers), HubSpot (1,000 contacts, 2 users), Mixpanel (1M events a month, unlimited seats), Trello (10 collaborators), Zapier (100 tasks a month), Buffer (3 channels), Canva (5GB storage, 1 Brand Kit) and Notion for one person. Stripe has no monthly fee and charges per transaction. Google Workspace has no free plan.
