Real artist profiles hold a rough proportion between monthly listeners and followers. Forty monthly listeners next to 20,000 followers reads as bought to anyone who looks — including curators, whose job is looking. Keep any purchase inside what your listening numbers can carry: hundreds of real monthly listeners support a low-thousands count; a brand-new profile supports far less.
Small also survives better. Spotify periodically removes accounts it judges inauthentic, and a modest order losing a slice is invisible where a spike losing the same share leaves a visible dent.
Is it safe? What Spotify's rules say
Follower purchases sit against Spotify's artificial-engagement terms, but the risk profile is milder than buying plays — because followers don't touch royalties.
Where the consequence lands
Unlike bought plays — which claim money from a shared royalty pool and can get streams removed or royalties withheld — a bought follower is a cosmetic number, and Spotify's typical response is quietly culling fake accounts rather than acting against your profile.
