About
We cover the social-media industry: platform policy, the creator economy, and the algorithm changes that decide who gets seen. Our reporters are named, our corrections are logged, and our sourcing is disclosed.
Social media is a serious industry — billions of dollars, billions of users, and a handful of companies making the calls. We write for the people who have to operate inside those decisions: creators, marketers, platform-policy teams, analysts, and everyone adjacent.
Our beats are organized around the fifteen platforms we track and the cross-platform topics that span them — monetization, algorithm updates, policy shifts, advertising, and AI's encroachment on social feeds.
Every story has a named author. Every story is edited by a second human before it publishes. We verify claims against primary sources — platform announcements, SEC filings, public statements, on-the-record interviews — and we cite them. When a story changes after publication in a material way, we log it on our corrections page.
We use AI for triage — flagging which press releases look consequential, translating non-English sources, summarizing long filings — but we don't let it write finished pieces. Our editorial standards spell out exactly what we will and won't do with generative tools.
HowSociable is an independent publisher. We make money from advertising and affiliate commissions on our product reviews — never from the platforms we cover. Sponsored content is labelled Sponsored and kept structurally separate from newsroom coverage.
