Hearing the repertoire in new performances

Hafez’s legacy includes recordings and a repertoire other singers continue to perform. Cairo Opera House’s March 2024 tribute programmed his romantic songs with Ahmed Afifi and Farah El Mogy. These are new interpretations of his catalogue; the films and original recordings preserve his own voice and screen presence.
