Sabah’s Egyptian film work brought collaborations with Riad al-Sunbati, Mohammed Abdel Wahab and Baligh Hamdi. In Lebanon, she worked with the Rahbani brothers and Philemon Wahby in musical theatre. Her career joins screen acting, staged drama and recorded song, with Lebanese folk roots informing work made for different audiences.

Songs such as Yana Yana continued to circulate through later performances and new versions. Her international appearances, from Paris to Sydney, also show how Lebanese and Egyptian popular music travelled with diaspora audiences.
