Editor’s note (July 10, 2026): StormLikes — the budget pick this guide was built around — has stopped selling: the domain we reviewed, stormlikes.net, now operates as an informational research site with no store. We have delisted it from our rankings while we re-test the under-$3 tier. Treat the StormLikes prices and recommendations below as historical; the rest of the comparison still stands.
You can buy Instagram followers that actually hold up for under $3, but only in a narrow band of the market, and our review of published data and vendor terms shows exactly where that band is.
The standout value is StormLikes: packages start at $1.99, it scored 9.2 out of 10, it advertises a 5 to 15 minute delivery window, vendor-advertised retention sits at 93% after a month, and a 30-day refill guarantee backs the order.
At the top of the under-$3 range, $2.97 buys some of the strongest results we assessed: Likes.io (9.8, 97% retention in our hands-on pilot), Buzzoid (9.5, vendor-advertised 95%), and Twicsy (9.4, vendor-advertised 96%) all start at that price with 30-day refills. And below roughly $1.50 the quality cliff is steep: SocialWick starts at $0.99 but advertises just 80% retention, and Bulkoid at $1.49 advertises 78%, the kind of fall-off that erases the savings.
Cheap followers that work exist; followers that are merely cheap are the most expensive thing on this page.
Retention and delivery figures here are vendor-advertised unless tied to our five-service Instagram pilot; the framing follows the same approach behind our buy Instagram followers rankings and the Instagram followers benchmark. How we buy, track, and score is documented on the methodology page.
What "actually work" means at this price
A cheap follower package works if it clears four bars, and our scoring is built around them. The order has to arrive inside the delivery window the seller quotes. The followers have to survive: the retention figure, what the vendor states remains at day 30, is the heart of every score below.
The order has to be backed by a refill guarantee long enough to cover the drop-off window, ideally 30 days rather than 14. And the service has to deliver to a public handle with no password, because no discount justifies handing over a login. Price is what you pay at checkout; retention is what you actually bought.
Every under-$3 service we reviewed, compared
These are the Instagram follower services we reviewed with starting prices below $3, sorted by price. Retention figures are vendor-advertised except where noted for our pilot; the retention column is the one to read twice.
| Service | Starting price | Score | 30-day retention | Delivery | Refill |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SocialWick | $0.99 | 7.8 | 80% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| Bulkoid | $1.49 | 7.6 | 78% | 1-48 hours | 14 days |
| StormLikes | $1.99 | 9.2 | 93% | 5-15 min | 30 days |
| Socialplug | $1.99 | 7.9 | 82% | 1-12 hours | 14 days |
| Views4You | $1.99 | 8.1 | 85% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| Media Mister | $2.00 | 8.2 | 85% | 1-3 days | 30 days |
| Goread.io | $2.49 | 8.7 | 90% | Instant | 14 days |
| UseViral | $2.49 | 8.6 | 91% | Gradual | 30 days |
| SidesMedia | $2.49 | 8.5 | 90% | 1-3 days | 30 days |
| Socialboom | $2.49 | 8.0 | 84% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| SocialViral | $2.49 | 7.2 | 76% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| iDigic | $2.95 | 7.3 | 78% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| Likes.io | $2.97 | 9.8 | 97% | Instant | 30 days |
| Buzzoid | $2.97 | 9.5 | 95% | 1-5 min | 30 days |
| Twicsy | $2.97 | 9.4 | 96% | Gradual | 30 days |
| Viralyft | $2.99 | 8.3 | 87% | 5-30 min | 30 days |
| GetViral | $2.99 | 7.7 | 80% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
| Famety | $2.99 | 7.0 | 75% | 1-24 hours | 14 days |
Notice what the table does not show: price predicting quality. The $1.99 StormLikes outscored every service in the $2.49 to $2.99 band except the top three, while three services at $2.95 to $2.99 (iDigic, GetViral, Famety) posted some of the weakest retention in the group. In this market you are not paying for quality by default; you are paying for a specific provider's supply, and the only way to know which is which is close review.
The best picks at each price point
Under $2: StormLikes is the value pick
StormLikes is the reason this article exists. At $1.99 it is our Best Value pick with a 9.2 overall score, the best pricing score in its group at 9.5, and the numbers suggest you are not sacrificing much for that price: delivery scored 9.4 on its advertised 5 to 15 minute window, and vendor-advertised retention sits at 93% across 30 days, backed by a 30-day refill.
The trade-offs are honest ones: support is basic, package options are fewer than the big providers offer, and it is Instagram only. Read the full StormLikes review for the breakdown. The other sub-$2 options are weaker: Socialplug ($1.99) advertises 82% with a 14-day refill, and Views4You ($1.99) advertises 85% but is really a YouTube and TikTok specialist.
Media Mister at $2.00 is the niche exception: 85% retention but genuine country targeting, which few providers at this price offer at all.
Around $2.49: speed or pacing, pick one
The $2.49 tier splits by delivery style. Goread.io (8.7) is the speed play: instant delivery, 90% retention, but only a 14-day refill. UseViral (8.6) is the patience play: gradual, natural-looking delivery, 91% retention, and a 30-day refill. SidesMedia (8.5) matches the 90% retention with a 30-day refill and covers 10+ platforms if you need more than Instagram. The same $2.49 also buys SocialViral at 76% retention, the second-lowest in the entire table, which is the clearest proof in this guide that price tells you nothing by itself.
$2.97 to $2.99: the best money in the market
If you can stretch to $2.97, you exit the value tier entirely. Likes.io posted the strongest results in our hands-on pilot: 9.8 overall, 97% retention, instant delivery, 30-day refill. Buzzoid (9.5) advertises a 1 to 5 minute delivery window with 95% retention and has been operating since 2012. Twicsy (9.4) advertises 96% with gradual delivery designed to look natural, and its 9.6 quality score led its group.
Viralyft (8.3, 87%) is the budget refill play at $2.99 with a full 30-day window. The cautionary tales sit at the same price: Famety at $2.99 advertises just 75%, the lowest retention in the group, meaning a quarter of the order would be gone by day 30.
The cliff below $1.50
The bottom of the market deserves its own warning. SocialWick's $0.99 starting point is the lowest on our entire list, and the price is real, but so is what it advertises: 80% retention, the lowest in its group, with quality at 7.7 and reputation at 7.6.
Its vendor-advertised retention is well below higher-ranked providers, and the 14-day refill window is short given that drops can continue past it. Bulkoid at $1.49 runs the same trade: 78% vendor-advertised retention, the lowest among its peers, across a 1 to 48 hour delivery spread, the widest in its group.
Both services are honest about what they are, bulk volume at bottom prices, and for a use case where only the raw number matters they do what they advertise. As a growth purchase, losing one follower in five within a month makes the per-surviving-follower price far worse than the sticker suggests.
Red flags when shopping cheap
- No refill policy at all. Every legitimate service in our table publishes one, 14 or 30 days. A cheap seller with none is pricing in the disappearance.
- A password request. Every service in our table delivers to a public handle. A discount vendor asking for your login is a scam or an automation risk, and no savings covers that downside.
- No independent reviews. Anonymous panels with testimonials only on their own site are where the worst outcomes in this market live. Check a hands-on review with real review data before paying anyone.
- Prices far below the floor. The lowest credible price we found is SocialWick's $0.99, and even that advertises only 80% retention. Offers dramatically under the credible market deliver accounts that will not survive their first purge.
When cheap followers are the wrong buy entirely
Honesty requires the other side. If your goal is engagement, reach, or brand deals, cheap followers move you backward: they add silent accounts to your denominator and dilute the engagement rate that brands actually price on.
If you want followers that are real people recruited to your niche, the answer is not a cheaper package but a different product: organic growth services like Growthoid posted 98% retention, the highest figure in our five-service pilot, at the very different price of $49 per month and a 24 to 72 hour pace.
And if your account is small, a visible spike of cheap followers is conspicuous in a way that a $1.99 saving does not justify. Buy cheap followers for what they are, fast social proof at minimal cost, and use the budget you saved on content.
The bottom line
Cheap Instagram followers that actually work are real, and they cluster in two places: StormLikes at $1.99 (9.2, 93% retention, 30-day refill) for the tightest budgets, and the Likes.io, Buzzoid, Twicsy trio at $2.97 (95% to 97% retention, Likes.io first-hand in our pilot, the others vendor-advertised) for the strongest results in this field. Between and below them, the table is a minefield where $2.49 can buy 76% retention and $0.99 buys followers that thin out within weeks.
Read the retention column before the price column, insist on a refill window, never share a password, and compare the full ranked field on our buy Instagram followers page before you spend.
