Billie Eilish’s recording identity is closely connected to her collaboration with her brother FINNEAS. The Recording Academy traces that partnership through the debut album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and its unusually intimate pop production.

From the debut album to film songwriting

At the 2020 GRAMMYs she won the four general-field categories. Later releases and soundtrack work expanded that early catalogue, including What Was I Made For? for Barbie and the album Hit Me Hard and Soft.

How Hit Me Hard and Soft was put together

Darkroom and Interscope released Hit Me Hard and Soft on 17 May 2024. The label credits Eilish and FINNEAS as its writers and FINNEAS as producer. Its ten-track sequence moves from Skinny through Lunch and Chihiro to Blue; Birds of a Feather and Wildflower belong to this album, too.

Universal Music Canada

The release announcement presents the album as a sequence to hear from beginning to end. Listening to that order provides context for the singles and videos: it follows the artist’s stated presentation of the project.

Universal Music Canada

At release, physical variants shared the same track list, so a different vinyl colour did not indicate extra songs. The label identifies it as her third studio album, distinct from an EP or concert recording.

Freshness, without guesswork

Statistics retain their source observation dates. A page refresh does not make a historical chart, career record or commercial estimate newer. Figures without a usable source observation are not displayed.

What the data can tell you

Public counts do not measure unique people, audience authenticity, private reach or actual earnings. Associated brand accounts are labeled separately from personal accounts, and sampled engagement is limited to the posts in that sample.
