Arab Idol and the first albums

Winning Arab Idol in June 2013 brought his singing to a much wider audience. His recording catalogue includes the albums Assaf and Ma Wahashnak, giving listeners a route beyond televised competition performances.

The World Cup-era recording and public role

After Arab Idol, Assaf recorded a fan-written World Cup-era song in Dubai on 3 June 2014. UNRWA documented that project alongside his visits to its schools and archive. These activities belong to his historical youth-ambassador role: the agency states that it ended on 19 June 2017.
