Web (tiktok.com/coin) prices shown to a logged-out US visitor: seven packs from 30 to 17,500 Coins plus a Custom amount. TikTok changes pricing, prices vary by country, and TikTok's own page claims web recharge saves “around 25%” versus in-app fees.

TikTok sells fixed packs plus a Custom amount (“Large amount supported”), so an exact Coin total may mean the Custom option.

What TikTok Coins cost in USD

1,000 TikTok Coins cost between $10.33 and $10.43 to buy on TikTok's website, based on the coin prices TikTok displayed on September 3, 2026. TikTok sells Coins in seven fixed packs — 30 Coins for $0.31 up to 17,500 Coins for $180.99 — plus a Custom amount, and the price per Coin varies slightly by pack: about $0.01033 at the cheapest rate (the 30-Coin pack) to $0.01043 at the most expensive (the 350-Coin pack). Every figure below is derived from that displayed ladder, not from a generic “coin rate”.

Popular Coin amounts converted to dollars

Amounts that match a TikTok pack show TikTok's own displayed price. Every other amount is that Coin count multiplied by the ladder's cheapest and most expensive per-Coin rates — the honest answer is a narrow range, not a single invented number, because TikTok prices packs, not individual Coins.

CoinsUSD cost at TikTok's web prices (Sep 3, 2026)
100 Coins$1.03–$1.04
500 Coins$5.17–$5.21
700 Coins$7.25 — TikTok's displayed pack price
1,000 Coins$10.33–$10.43
5,000 Coins$51.67–$52.14
10,000 Coins$103.33–$104.29
34,000 Coins$351.33–$354.57

How to buy or recharge TikTok Coins: website vs in-app

TikTok sells Coins in two places: inside the app, through Apple's or Google's billing, and on the web at tiktok.com/coin (the “recharge” page). On September 3, 2026 the web page showed the seven packs above and a Custom amount without requiring a login, with a cart line and a Recharge button; we did not attempt a purchase, so whether checkout itself requires logging in was not tested.

TikTok's own pitch for recharging on the web, verbatim from that page: “Recharge: Save around 25% with a lower third-party service fee.” That is TikTok comparing its web checkout with app-store billing. The page publishes no in-app price ladder to check the 25% against, so treat it as TikTok's claim about its own pricing — the direction (web cheaper than in-app) is TikTok's stated position, and the exact saving is TikTok's number, not ours.

Two policy points worth knowing before you recharge, both from TikTok's Virtual Items Policy: Coins “cannot be exchanged for cash” once bought, and “there will be no refunds” for unused Coins — they also expire if your account is terminated. Coins are a one-way purchase that only becomes Gifts.

Coins → Gifts → Diamonds: what creators actually receive

Coins buy Gifts, and Gifts are how money reaches creators. TikTok's Virtual Items Policy says a sent Gift is removed from your account and “converted into Diamonds” in the creator's account — at “a rate of conversion to be determined by us from time to time in its absolute and sole discretion.” Creators can withdraw Diamonds for money “to be denominated in US dollars” via PayPal or another third-party payment channel. Diamonds cannot be bought, and cannot be turned back into Coins or Gifts.

What TikTok does not publish: no TikTok page we could read on September 3, 2026 states a Coin-to-Diamond ratio, a per-Diamond dollar value, or a withdrawal minimum for LIVE rewards. The policy says only that “the rate of withdrawal will be displayed at the point of withdrawal” — inside the app, after you have earned. TikTok's EEA Rewards Policy (July 2025) goes further: LIVE reward payments are calculated from multiple factors — Diamonds collected, LIVE duration, new followers, “your league or ranking” and more — so even a fixed per-Diamond rate is not what TikTok's own current policy describes. The $0.005-per-Diamond figure that circulates on blogs has no TikTok source we could find, and the $10 monthly minimum often quoted next to it belongs to the Creator Rewards Program (a video-views program), not to LIVE gift withdrawals.

The only measured public datapoint we could verify is a 2022 BBC investigation into gifting: BBC staff sent a test account $106 worth of TikTok gifts, and the account's balance afterwards was $33 — “TikTok had taken 69% of the value of the gifts.” TikTok responded that its commission was “significantly less than 70%” and declined to state the figure. That is one test from October 2022, possibly affected by the agency arrangements involved — a datapoint, not a rate. It is also the reason this calculator labels its payout figure an illustration.

Gifts are sent on LIVE

Gift income starts with people in the room: Gifts are sent during TikTok LIVE streams, so LIVE reach is the constraint before any Coin math matters. We reviewed services that sell TikTok LIVE views, based on vendor-advertised terms, published user reviews, and hands-on checks of signup and checkout — read what they actually deliver, and what they can't, before spending anything.

Frequently Asked Questions

About $10.33 to $10.43 at the prices TikTok's website displayed on September 3, 2026. TikTok has no 1,000-Coin pack — the nearest are 700 Coins for $7.25 and 1,400 for $14.49 — so the figure is 1,000 multiplied by the ladder's derived per-Coin rates ($0.01033–$0.01043). TikTok changes pricing, and prices vary by country.

Roughly $51.67 to $52.14 at TikTok's web rates as displayed on September 3, 2026. There is no 5,000-Coin pack — the ladder jumps from 3,500 Coins ($36.2 as TikTok displayed it) to 7,000 ($72.39) — so the figure is 5,000 × the derived per-Coin range, and an exact 5,000-Coin purchase would go through TikTok's Custom option (“Large amount supported”).

About $103.33 to $104.29 at the web prices TikTok displayed on September 3, 2026. The nearest displayed packs are 7,000 Coins for $72.39 and 17,500 for $180.99; 10,000 exactly would use the Custom amount.

Roughly $351.33 to $354.57 at TikTok's web per-Coin rates as read on September 3, 2026. That is above the largest displayed pack (17,500 Coins, $180.99), so a 34,000-Coin recharge would go through the Custom option, whose exact rate TikTok only shows at purchase.

It depends entirely on which gift: TikTok prices each Gift in Coins, and the Coin price is shown on the gift itself in the gift tray. Multiply the gift's Coin price by 100, then by roughly $0.0103–$0.0104 per Coin (TikTok's web rates as of September 3, 2026). For example, 100 of any 1-Coin gift represents about $1.03–$1.04 of Coin purchases; 100 of a 500-Coin gift represents about $517–$521.

No. TikTok's Virtual Items Policy is explicit: Coins “cannot be exchanged for cash, or legal tender... or any other form of credit,” there are no refunds for unused Coins, and Coins expire if your account is terminated. The only cash-out path in the system belongs to creators, who withdraw Diamonds — a different item that buyers cannot purchase.

TikTok does not publish it. Gifts convert to Diamonds at a rate TikTok sets “in its absolute and sole discretion,” and the cash withdrawal rate only appears at the point of withdrawal, inside the app. The one measured public datapoint we could verify: in a 2022 BBC test, $106 of gifts left $33 on the creator's account — TikTok kept 69% — and TikTok said only that its cut is “significantly less than 70%.” Treat any precise per-Diamond dollar figure you read elsewhere as unsourced.

TikTok's own recharge page says the website: “Recharge: Save around 25% with a lower third-party service fee,” verbatim as displayed on September 3, 2026. The comparison target is app-store billing fees, and TikTok publishes no in-app ladder on that page, so the 25% is TikTok's claim about its own pricing rather than something we could verify. The direction is plausible — web checkout is not subject to app-store billing commissions — but compare both prices on your own account before a large recharge.

The one promotion visible in our September 3, 2026 read of TikTok's recharge page was an “Invite & Get Rewards” feature; we did not open it, so whether its rewards include free Coins is not something we could verify. Otherwise Coins are bought: TikTok's Virtual Items Policy has them purchased from TikTok “through payment providers made available and authorized by us,” so treat third-party “free TikTok Coins” generators — which are not TikTok — with real caution.
